For young creatives trying to break into the ad industry or seasoned pros ready to take their career to the next level, Havas Chicago is inviting job seekers to give the agency a spin at its “Career Ferris Wheel” taking place at Navy Pier. During this event, candidates will enjoy unprecedented access to Havas’ executives—from discipline leads to the agency’s C-suite—who will be conducting interviews on Chicago’s iconic Navy Pier Ferris Wheel.

14 Minutes to Perfect Your Pitch

Havas will take over a handful of gondolas on the ferris wheel. Candidates will have 14 minutes—equivalent to 2 revolutions on the wheel—to convince executives why they should be hired.

  • Interviewees are encouraged to bring resumes, portfolios or any other relevant materials for their interviews. (*Note: no wi-fi on the wheel.)

  • Depending on the position, candidates will be paired with the appropriate executive, including CEO Paul Marobella, Chief Creative Officer Jason Peterson, Chief Client Officer Tatia Torrey, Chief Growth Officer Laura Maness and Creative Director of Design Chuck Anderson.]
  • In case of bad weather, the rain date will be Friday, September 25 between 10am-noon.

Why the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel?

While unconventional, the choice of venue is right in line with Havas Chicago’s unique recruiting methods. Havas believes this type of activation can actually help surface bold thinkers that share the agency’s ethos and have an appetite for meaningful disruption.

Beyond the novelty, Havas Chicago is offering interview candidates the opportunity to join them in making history at Navy Pier. The venue aligns with the agency’s mission of reinvigorating iconic American brands through cultural relevance. The ferris wheel is a great American invention and an icon in the city’s skyline for decades. On September 27, the classic wheel will be officially retired and replaced with a bigger, more modernized version in the Summer of 2016, so this will be one of the last chances to ride the famous wheel.
